Our standard approach is to provide one First Course, one Second Course, and one Dessert for all guests. Guests with dietary restrictions (vegetarian, vegan, allergies, intolerances, or not consuming fish or meat) will always receive appropriate individual alternatives. Service runs smoothly and all guests are properly accommodated.
7. Can guests choose between fish or meat?
Yes — if you would like to offer your guests a choice between two main courses (for example fish or meat), a surcharge of €20 + VAT per guest applies. Dietary restrictions are always accommodated separately.
8. Can we offer multiple starters and mains?
Yes — offering a choice between two different starters and two main courses involves a surcharge of €30 + VAT per guest.
9. Can we offer multiple starters, mains and desserts?
Yes — offering a choice between two starters, two main courses, and two desserts involves a surcharge of €40 + VAT per guest.
10. Can we customise the wedding menu?
Yes — you may customise your menu without surcharge by selecting your preferred First Course, Second Course, and Dessert from Menu A. The wedding menu can also be fully customised upon request; additional charges may apply depending on complexity.
11. Can dietary restrictions be accommodated?
Yes — vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, allergies, and other dietary requirements are always accommodated with specific individual options. Vegan, vegetarian, and allergy-related meals typically do not incur any surcharge.
12. Can we extend the event beyond the included hours?
Yes — additional hours may be arranged with a surcharge, subject to availability and venue regulations.
13. Can we have a first look before the ceremony?
Yes — the couple, photo and video team, and bridal party may arrive earlier for a private first look and photo session before guests arrive.

Yes — couples may choose between different outdoor garden areas or indoor spaces. The grand staircase leading to the French Garden is one of the most requested ceremony spots.

The venue accommodates medium to large weddings. The Winter Garden is ideal for seated dinners, while the gardens provide a beautiful ceremony and cocktail setting.

Standard décor elements are included. Enhancements such as upgraded florals, custom lighting, ceiling draping, or bespoke installations may be added with a surcharge.
17. Are there any rules regarding ceiling décor and hanging installations?
Yes — all ceiling décor, hanging installations, suspended floral structures, draping, chandeliers, or items attached to architectural elements must be supplied and installed exclusively by Lisbon Wedding Planner or a supplier approved in writing by Lisbon Wedding Planner.
18. Why is ceiling décor exclusive to Lisbon Wedding Planner?
Ceiling installations are technically complex, heavy, and require structural calculations, professional rigging teams, and appropriate insurance. For safety and compliance reasons, external vendors may not install ceiling décor without prior written approval.
19. Does the venue need to approve ceiling decorations?
Yes — all ceiling installations must be approved by the venue and communicated at least 30 days prior to the event. Lisbon Wedding Planner reserves the right to refuse or remove unauthorised installations. Any damages or delays resulting from non-compliance are the responsibility of the Client.
20. Is it easy for guests to call Uber or taxis at night?
Yes — Vandelli Botanical Garden is centrally located in Lisbon, and guests can easily call Uber, Bolt, or taxis at night. Private transfers can also access the venue easily.
21. What spaces are included in the rental?
The rental includes exclusive access to the 285 m² (3,068 sq ft) Greenhouse, the French Gardens and grand stairs, the Upper Gardens, three interior rooms (64 m² / 689 sq ft, 46 m² / 495 sq ft, and 97 m² / 1,044 sq ft), as well as the hall, restrooms, kitchen, and support areas.
22. Is there a weather backup option?
Yes. The venue offers four indoor rooms that can accommodate the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing if needed.
In certain layouts, the ceremony and dancing may take place in the same room, with a seamless transformation completed during dinner service.
